Additionally, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol were listed as wanted accused in the case.

Initially, the accused faced charges under the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act following the firing incident at Galaxy Apartment in Bandra on April 14. Anmol Bishnoi, believed to be in Canada with occasional visits to the USA, claimed responsibility for the attack via a Facebook post, though police traced the post's IP address to Portugal. According to Mumbai Crime Branch, the shooters were tasked with firing 10 rounds outside Salman Khan's residence. Surveillance footage captured two individuals on a motorcycle, wearing caps and carrying backpacks, firing four shots before fleeing the scene swiftly.

Salman Khan's security arrangements were intensified in 2022 following threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, elevating his security level to Y-Plus. Additionally, he was granted permission to carry a personal firearm and procured an armoured vehicle for enhanced protection against potential threats. These measures underscore the persistent security concerns surrounding high-profile individuals in the entertainment industry and the proactive steps taken to mitigate risks to their safety.
